The Lokobe Reserve is the last remaining large forest on Nosy Be. Classified as a strict nature reserve, it is protected. It is home to species endemic to Madagascar: the Macaco lemur, Dum\u00e9ril\u2019s boa, the Furcifer pardalis chameleon, geckos and dozens of rare bird species. Dumeril\u2019s boa<\/h3><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Lokobe Reserve is home to Dumeril\u2019s boa (Acrantophis dumerili), one of Madagascar\u2019s largest snakes. Harmless to humans, it hunts small mammals and reptiles at night.
